Things I Loved This Week.

Hey!

So I was thinking maybe I'd make this "Things I Loved This Week" post a regular thing, like do it on a Sunday/Monday and kinda recap on the week past? What do you think? WELL anyway here is this weeks:

The first 3 minutes of True Blood season 4 are HERE. I can't even begin to explain my excitement to have True Blood (and that sexy werewolf) back on our screens! If you have never seen it I urge you to go watch season 1, I'm not into all that vampire junk but this is pure amazing!

Aw super cute clock from ModCloth! If anybody knows how to get hold of one of these in the UK hit me up!

Anchor Print chiffon tea-dress by Dahlia. It's too gorgeous and looks like it fits like a dream!

Animal print dress by Dahlia. I am in love with the contrasting hem poking out. Basically hit up ASOS and search Dahlia they have amazing dresses!

Jacquard Rug - Urban Outfitters. UO have had a bad week but I love this simple, rustic looking rug - I want it!

Mother of pearl necklace - Forever21. Super cute! I love long necklaces with something BIG at the end.

A few links I have loved this week:

I hope you all had a great bank holiday weekend!

GIVEAWAY! Sigma Make-Up Brushes Travel Kit.

Hey lovelies!

I have a treat for you! I have one of these amazing Sigma make-up brush travel-kits to giveaway to one lucky reader!

I'm real into my make-up as most of you know, I've been using a TiGi brush kit I got last Xmas and the brushes are old now and splashing out on things I'm going to get dirty isn't something I'm into. SO I've seen many blog reviews of Sigma brushes and they all said they were up there with MAC brushes (something I cannot afford!).

Let me tell you a bit about the brushes I'm giving away:

The travel kit comes in a lovely case, with a special extra brush gift and retails at $49 (real good for 8 brushes!)

Large Powder F30 - Rounded top, natural bristles and very dense which makes it great for applying powder products.
Large Angled Contour F40 - I use this to apply blusher as it is perfect for contouring cheeks!

Foundation F60 - Synthetic bristles, great at applying liquid foundation, doesn't leave drag marks or smears.
Tapered Blending E40 - I had no idea what this was for but apparently "designed to apply and blend colour on the crease" - yup!
Concealer F70
- Great for concealing dark circles under the eyes.

Eye Shading E55 - Super soft with a rounded end, great for applying loose eye shadows.
Pencil E30 - Great for applying eyeshadow on the corners and crease of the eye.

Okay so how do you win this awesome kit?

The Rules:

* You must be a follower of my blog via Google Friend Connect (just click 'Follow' at the top of the page it's that easy!)

* Just leave a comment asking to be entered and leave your email address so I can contact you.

That's it!

GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED! Thanks to all who entered.

Open internationally.

GOOD LUCK!

Surprise Party! - outfit post.

Hey!

So I bought this dress to wear to my mums surprise party we had on the weekend, I had to lie and say I was staying out so I went to a friends house for the day where I was told the dress was Mad Men-esque but I've never watched it so I have no idea.

Dress - ASOS £25
Necklace - Tiffany.
Lipstick - MAC Red.

Gross attempt at a toothy smile. The dress goes in at the waist and comes out slightly pleated thigh length. Due to bad lighting here it just looks like it morphs into one but I don't wear long skirts/dresses as I have short legs.

I always wear this ring on my wedding finger just dreaming that one day a man will propose with a real rock so huge :p Just kiddin' it's the only finger it fits on!
Nails - No7 Beanie with Rimmel Matte topcoat.

I know I promised a giveaway but I'm doing it Friday now so keep your eyes open for that one!

I hope your week is going well so far!

Things I've Been Loving This Week.

Hey everyone!

So sorry it's been such a long time since my last post! I've been really busy/stressed but slowly getting back on top of things. Just a quick post today a few things I've seen/been loving this week:

Topshop Skull Ring - Lovee this, I love most things skull and with a feather headdress on too what more can I say?

Vero Moda Lace Swing Dress - So light and super cute, I'm so tempted to buy it but my lack of funds is stopping me quickly!

Lady Gaga Born This Way - Leaked last week but came out today - SO AWESOME! My fave tracks are Government Hooker and Highway Unicorn.

Real Housewives of New Jersey - They're baaaack! What better way to start off the season than with a HUGE fight.

Pieces Lobster Ring - I love me some huge-ass rings, this has a gorgeous colour to it.
Sandy Bay Candles -  I have The Big Apple,  as most of you know the name would sell it to me anyway but the smell is amazing, it's got a little hint of spice to it which I can smell around the house even when it's not burning! It's also a celebrity fave!

Well I hope you all had a great weekend! Stay tuned for my next post which is a giveaway I hope most of you will like :)

XXXO - outfit post.

First of all I have THESE Vivienne Westwood Melissa shoes on Ebay going in 24 hours I really want to  sell so if you are a size 3/small 4 then take a look.

Now I have to apologize, I took a whole bunch of photos for this post as I normally do, got them on the computer and then realized my lens had a smudge on it right over the pictures! But you will get the drift the rest was a really old hi-waisted black skirt and black tights.

Top - New Look
Skirt - H&M

This gorgeous aztec-style arrow-head necklace is from Raffles Bizarre, some seriously wonderful handmade treats by the lovely Jess (who is awesome to chat to on twitter!)
Also wandering if any bloggies are off to Brighton Fashion Week? Let me know as I shall be going and need buddies!

Peace

Ladies Who Inspire Me.

Hello!
First up sorry for lack of posting, the great Blogger tragedy of '11 which is going to be my best excuse.

Thought I'd do something a little different for my blog and show you all some of the amazing ladies who inspire me in my life daily.

Let's get this show on the road!

Gwen Stefani - I got into Gwen when I discovered No Doubt in about '96, a striking lady with a unique dress sense, it was idol at first sight! Since then we have seen SO many forms of Gwen and her amazing sense of style it's unreal (My personal fave was "Sweet Escape" Gwen). This picture was taken a few days ago so as you can see for 41 and 2 kids -  she is amazing!

Deborah Harry - Again I've always been a huge Blondie fan (influenced by my mum) and I get called 'Debbie' by EVERYONE! I put it down to being bright blonde and looking like a rockstar with an attitude ;).

Bethany Cosentino - She is a super cute girl who plays in an amazing band, loves cats and wears cute clothes. I want to be her.

Zooey Deschanel - My fave actress, she has a gorgeous, quaint style plus the most natural prettiness ever!  I love her smiley, kind sense and her beautiful singing voice.

Lady Gaga - Now Lady G gets alot of stick from alot of people about her style and blah blah BUT she provides strong messages which I think is great and the power she has to be able to help change is really something special. Plus I'm a sucker for her AMAZING body!

Nicki Minaj - Fierce as hell, I love Nicki, she knows how to make fun of herself, her style is really out there and her music makes for excellent woman-power! Plus if i ever get a boob-job I am taking a pic of Nicki in there! I kinda want to give this joint to Beyonce too, I am in love with that woman and her thighs.

Well I hope you enjoyed a little insight to my life. Which ladies style inspires you? I'd love to see some other posts like this too, so if you do one link me up in the comments!

I'm On The Pursuit Of Happiness - outfit post.

So my 3 days off from work are up and I'm back in tomorrow. Went to see Insidious last night, it was SUPER scary but the end was kinda lame. I love going to the cinema I always pre-buy cinema-sweet popcorn, Maltesers and peanut M+M's, then get one of those fizzy ice drinks - so yummy!

Here is what I wore out on my day off:

See-through Striped Tee - Primark £6
Washed Denim Shorts - Asos £12
Necklace - River Island £3

I look shattered and I am. Been applying for jobs like crazy! Decided to stick my hair up halfway through taking pics, don't you hate it when you are growing your hair out and you have the awkward stage?

Iced Gem Ring - Babi Online.

The lovely people at Babi-Online sent me this super cute kitsch iced gem ring. Been wearing it with everything and craving iced gems hard!

The top is like a mesh see-through, I thought it would be too revealing but I actually love the fit of it and haven't seen it in Primark since.

Hope everybody's week is going well so far!

The Sun Was High and So Was I - outfit post.

I actually wore this outfit last Sunday when I went to see Best Coast, I had an awesome night I love them and their summery feel! I hope one day I will be in a band just as rad as them. To kick things off I re-bought a guitar last week, can't wait to get back into it properly!

Palm Tree Top - H&M £3.99
Miss Selfridge Hi-Waisted Shorts that I basically never take off!

My Palm Leaves necklace is by Maggie Angus, such gorgeous hand-made jewellery inspired by Miami/Club Tropicana - AWESOME!

I've worked all weekend and now have 3 days off woohoo!
Weird question but has anybody used Yankee Candles? Are they worth the money?

Homeware Wishlist.

Super quick post as I'm off out for dinner! Been ill and/or working but tomorrow is my day off so will prep some outfit posts :)

I must have been living under a rock 'cus I had NEVER been on ModCloth.com until a few days ago, anyway I was checking out their 'Apartment' section and basically fell in love with everything! Shame shipping costs loads to the UK :(

As I've said before hopefully in the next couple of months (if I can EVER get a job) I will be moving out, so here is my little wishlist from ModCloth:

Vintage-style Telephone, Arrow Mug, Jaws Cup, Bunny Ear Salad Utensils, Kitty Salt n' Pepper Pots, Anchor Doormat, Bear Tea-towel, Bear Coasters.
So if anyone knows where I can get similar, cute homeware items from the UK please send me links and your fave places to look at cute homeware too! I could literally spend hours pining over it.

Hope everybody is well.

MAC Haute & Naughty Lash Mascara - review and swatches.

Hey!
Hope you have all had an awesome extended weekend, I loved all the wedding related posts I've seen! I've been a little ill and people who follow me on Twitter might have noticed BUT I'm back on track now, so here we go.

You may remember me saying in THIS post that when I ordered my MAC Quite Cute Blush, I got a free mascara, well here it is!

Haute & Naughty Double Effect Mascara - £17.50 (or free in my case!).
Instantly fell in love with the glittery packaging.
What it is, the pink lid you see is one mascara brush, then the glitter lid is another which with the pink inside, doubles up.

This is just the pink lid's brush.

Before with no mascara.

After with the 1st brush.

Then here is what it looks like with the 2 brushes combined.

With the 2 brushes.
As you can see I have REALLY short stubby eyelashes, so I preferred using just the 1st brush as was lighter for my eyelashes. I guess my opinion is a little bit bias because I don't really get any benefit out of using the 2 brushes together because of my tiny lashes, but if you had nice healthy ones I could totally see it working!

Anybody else tried/got any reviews of this? I'd love to see.
