Getting Home Inspired.

As I've said on here before I'm really looking to move, I'm 21 and live in a small town with not alot going on for me. I crave city life, the energy and excitement of always having something to do whether it be partying hard or sitting in with a group of friends (who wants to gossip with their parents lingering?).

I'm still unsure on a couple things such as needing a housemate and also changing jobs, but this hasn't stopped me scouring my fave interiors sites looking for some inspiration!

Bedrooms:

As you can see I'm into framed beds and twinkly lights!

Kitchens:

I love bright kitchens with a retro feel.

The Rest:

(All images via SmalRooms where source can be found)

I've actually written this post in conjunction with the new Paul Smith Fragrance 'Optimistic' (some of you know I work in fragrance so I jumped at the op!). I am one of several UK bloggers asked to join in with the launch and write about inspiring and optimistic things.

You guys can take part too over on the Optimistic Facebook page, upload an optimistic/inspiring photo and the 50 most 'liked' wins tickets to the Paul Smith summer party (thats ALOT of chances!) and the top 3 win £500 to spend at Paul Smith - awesome!

Anyway I hope you all have a FABULOUS weekend, I'm off for cocktails and Mexican food!

  9. Ooh, I've been doing this recently! I'm moving into a flat with my boyfriend next month and have such big plans. Sadly he's not really feeling these plans, he's a minimalist and I'm... not. It's going to be war.

  17. Really gorgeous bedrooms! I love the use of voile in picture number 2! I'm not really diggin' the pink kitchen though XD

When me and my bf rented our first place I was really bummed to find out that we couldn't decorate so I lived a year in bland cream wall hell! It wasn't so bad I suppose because I could brighten then place up using curtains/throw/cushions/furniture!

Now that we have our own house, I can really break free! We have already completed the bedroom.. which needed a lot of work! In June we are starting on the living room which will include a new fireplace! In fact we are going to look at some tomorrow! Moving out of the rents is pure freedom!

I hope you find somewhere you love! xx

  28. Really amazing rooms, I'd love to have fairy lights but it can get me fined in my block :/

I've always lived in cities and now live in a small town and am so restless, I know how you feel :) I strongly recommend a move to Manchester, it's a relatively cheap place to live, people are so cool there and the shops&nightlife are amazing

  33. I absolutely adore the second bedroom picture, would love to try something like that in own room in my parents house :) The kitchen pictures are great but if you're renting then they'll probably look nothing like that :( I just have a dingy kitchen that all cream and white. But I've managed to make my bedroom all nice. x
