Here's to 2011! - outfit post.

I know we say this every year - but this year has kinda sucked, so heres hoping 2011 is great!

A few weeks back some of you may have seen the fabulous Gem from Gem Fatale's Style Blog posted an outfit by Clothing at Tesco - then you may have also noticed she was asked to pass on to a blogger to also pick out something that caught their eye - well that person was ME.

So with a huge thankyou to Gem and a huge thankyou to the beauties over at Clothing at Tesco - here is my choice:

Navy Embellished Shoulder Dress - By Liquorish.

This necklace is by the beautiful Beth
£5.

I had to chose this dress, I know navy suits me and with silver I can accessorize easily.
Plus I needed a party dress for when I hit up NYC!

Also, if you haven't already, check out my mention over at the Clothing at Tesco blog.

Well this is most likely my last post before I head off to New York for my 21st Birthday (which is on Sunday btw) as I've said before stick with me I can't wait to show you all my pics!

I will try and update on twitter but if not have an amazing New Year and I hope 2011 starts out great for you all!

Post-Christmas Present Post.

Wow I've been SO busy the past week, Christmas is really a drainer!

As some of you know I am off to New York (keep your fingers crossed for me with this snow they are having) next week so there won't be any posts for about 10 days (I'd draft some up but I have no time, life is busy!) BUT do expect lots of reviews from some awesome Kat Von D makeup I now own and of course holiday snaps- just don't give up on me!

I was defiantly spoilt this Christmas and ended up with a Wii and WiiFit Plus, here are some of my favourite smaller things I was given:

Me and Zena vamp ring.

Peas-in-a-pod.

Millhouse collectable (basically my boyf says I AM Millhouse)

Leopard print dressing gown, fairisle PJ's and deer slippers.

By Ryan Berkley - in a wooden frame. Yes it's a Squirrel in a bow-tie, yes I am tacky as hell.

Woodland and Paris candles.

Krispy Kreme chocolates - AMAZING!!

I'm going to try and squeeze in a couple more posts between now and when I go away. As I said before please stick with me! :)

Clothing at Tesco also featured me on their blog which was awesome, check it out HERE.

Come on then, what did you all get for Xmas? link me to your present posts!

Snow Day - outfit post.

Never in my life have I seen so much snow in Devon! It was fun until I had to walk about in it, but I did get 2 snow days from work which was fun! Anyway I hope you are all staying safe and warm.

I recently won a giveaway over at Cupcake Couture to win a Circle Scarf, handmade of course by the lovely lady herself! I also got to chose out of 6 colours and I picked 'Tomato Red':

A rare treat seeing me in jeans but it was far too cold for a skirt and tights!
Jeans - Next
Baggy Jumper - Topshop
Scarf - Cupcake Couture

Just like the famous American Apparel Scarf (only ALOT cheaper) you can wear it pretty much a bazzillion different ways. I opted for the 'Double scarf' so I could snuggle my face into it when walking in the snow.

Not snow walking shoes but this was on Friday before the snow chaos hit and I had to get my wellies on.
I forget what type of shoe this is Moccasins! They are like a velvet/suede feel with fringing they remind me of an Arabian Nights feel.
Shoes - H&M

What are you UK people wearing to keep snug in this weather? I say dressing gowns get made into proper attire!

It's a Jersey Thing - outfit post.

The title from this post is from an episode of South Park dedicated to those Jersey reality TV stars from Jersey Shore and Real Housewives. Now anyone of you who follow me on twitter will know i am addicted to American trash TV, give me anything badly edited with alot of arguments and rich people -I'm there!

Jersey Shore is one of my favourites, alot of people slate it because of it's characters (despite being real people) but it cracks me up! They call themselves Guido's and they Gym, Tan and Laundry (GTL) everyday:

'GTL' Gym Tan Laundry tee (as seen on Katy Perry) - £6 Ebay
Skirt - Primark
Citights - £12 River Island

Inspired by Nicki Minaj I have taken to wearing coloured extensions rather than dying my hair (since the boss doesn't approve!)

H&M Spike Ring - £4 for a set of 5
ASOS Cross Ring - £8

I paired my House of Holland Citights 'New York' in Jersey homage.

What TV are you addicted to?

Hope you are having a great weekend!

Christmas Peppermint Bark - recipe post.

I saw this recipe for Christmas Peppermint Bark on this amazing recipe blog and decided to give it a go, obviously I am not good at anything domestic SO mine was done slightly differently.

I promise you its the easiest thing to make ever and tastes divine, so here it goes:

I first of all lined a baking tray with baking paper and got my ingredients ready:
1 bar of white chocolate,
A pack of candy canes,
A pan of water,
Peppermint flavouring.

I put half the candy canes on the tree then the other half in a plastic sandwich bag, got a spoon and smashed them to pieces!

I put the water-filled pan on the hob, placed a clear glass bowl over the top and started to melt the chocolate.
Be careful not to burn the chocolate!

Once the chocolate had melted I tipped 3/4 of the bag of candy canes into the mix and added a teaspoon of peppermint flavouring then stirred it all in.

Pour the mix straight onto the lined tray and spread out.
Then I used the rest of the candy cane mush and sprinkled them on top.

Put it in the fridge for about an hour, take off the tray and you have some yummy peppermint bark!
I snapped mine up and stuck it in a mini lunchbox just for storage.

I cannot tell you how nice this is! I'm such a fan of minty things so this was just perfect. I thought the candy cane would be really hard inside of the chocolate but it wasn't it was just perfect!

Do you have any Christmas recipes to share?

NYC Cheek Glow - review.

Literally in the past couple of weeks i have started using blusher, I know madness right?! I "borrowed" one from my mum (she isn't getting it back!) and picked this one up by NYC Cosmetics:

NYC Cheek Glow in 655 Central Park Pink - £3.09
weird price! Anyway I got this free in the 3 for 2 makeup deals in Superdrug.

As you can see it's very subtle, a light pink to add a bit of winter colour.

It comes with a mini brush which is a bit too small to apply on the cheek so I have been using my own.
As you can see I am also in my dressing gown haha.
What make-up have you only just discovered?

Sorry for the lack of posts, working in retail over xmas really takes it's toll on you so I've been super busy working everyday and tired from rushing around.

Stay tuned for a Xmas recipe post!

Keep Warm and Snuggle Up! - Outfit Post.

When my mum see's this she's going to kill me! The main feature of this outfit that I wanted to show off was the scarf/hood thing my mum bought me for Xmas.
I chose it and I just happened to be home when it came in the post sooo I whipped out the cam for a quick outfit post with it before the 25th!

Fairisle Pom-Pom Scarf with Hood - ASOS
This was supposed to be £25 but I got it for £20, pricey BUT it is a present and I will wear it to death!

Love/Hate Jumper - Topshop
Shorts - Primark
Thigh-High Socks - ASOS

I actually made this necklace myself using bits of old necklaces when I was about 16, it's still a firm favourite!

With the hood up, perfect for my NY trip ;)

What Winter essential are you rocking right now or getting for Christmas?

Seeing as it's still freezing cold I hope you are all keeping warm this weekend!

Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick - review.

Sometimes the Rimmel website has awesome promotions on where you can win one of 8,000 full size samples of new products. I've actually had a few and here is one I got through of their new Lasting Finish lipsticks:

The colour I got was 014 - 'Sweetie'. With things like lipsticks you can actually chose which colour you win so I chose this pinky one. The face of the campaign is Zooey Deschanel and I saw this on her and loved it. (EDIT: She actually wears Heartbreaker BUT she's a Goddess either way).

It's a red/pink with glittery bits in. It looks quite sheer here but goes on darker.

You can see the glitter here, it's not hard and you can't feel it so it's definitely a lovely glitzy add-on.

I already use a Rimmel lipstick in 'Alert' it's definitely my go-to lipstick as it goes on quick and smooth with no fussy packaging.
Plus it smells like cherries! AMAZING!

What new lippy's have you used recently?

A Bizarre Christmas.

I've said it once and I'll say it again (like right now) I love handmade! I enjoy originality and uniqueness, my favourite way is through accessories and jewellery they make outfits complete and even if you are wearing a dress everyone else has you can turn the outfit into your own.

Christmas is around the corner for those who celebrate it and I've found some awesome Christmassy handmade jewellery at Raffles Bizarre:

Christmas Tree Brooch - £4.00
So cute I love the little pearl detail!

Gingerbread Man Necklace - £4.00
One, two three everybody...AWW!!

Gold Star Earrings - £2.00

Silver Snowflake Earrings - £3.00
Now I can't wear earrings (well I can wear 1) 'cus I have huge goff holes 'cus I'm a giant greeb BUT these are soo cute!

Santa, Deer, Snowman Tree Decorations - £6.00
Awesome wooden decs, haven't really seen anybody else doing these it's a brilliant idea!
The gorgeous Jess from Raffles Bizarre told me that she started it up back in 2007 as a hobby and approach making jewellery in very creative and experimental ways such as using burnt vinyl and cds's to create individual pieces.

I will do another post in the new year showing you some of the other things, I'm totally in love with 'Circus' range probably as a hangover from the Britney Spears 2009 tour :P

Hope you're all ok and surviving this cold snap!!

Models Own/WAH Nails Art Pen: Leopard Nails.

There are so many good blogs out there right now who also own this nail art pen, made by Models Own in association with WAH Nails. We've all seen them those beautiful creations, well now you can try and do your own!

Now I'm not skilled in the nail department but I needed this, so I picked it up on the Models own website (Free Kohl eyeliner too with your first purchase) and gave it a go with a leopard design:

It's £6, it comes with a brush and a pen like tip. I used the brush 'cus the pen bit kept coming out too fast.

Please excuse the pinkie nail which looks like I sneezed.

I used: 17 in Pink Grapefruit
Barry M in Pale Blue
Models Own Nail Pen in Black
These are only staying like this for one day as I have some new nail goodies I want to try out this weekend too!
Hope you all are having a good one!

Christmas (Glitter)Ball - Outfit Post.

A little lack of blogging this week, apologies, but it's that time of year, I'm working full hours 5/6 days a week now!

This weekend I am off to a Christmas meal and ball with my dad (and many others) so of course I needed an outfit! I was going to buy a new dress but during a wardrobe clear-out last week I found a dress I've never worn before. It's puffy, it's glittery and it's perfect for hiding a full tum:

I bought this dress from a stall in Camden about a year ago for £40.

Necklace from River Island bought by my mum last Xmas.

You can see the sparkle, it is kinda all over but it's subtle and not tacky.
I also added pearls and curled my hair so a more 'quaint' look.

Nude Bow Heels - Primark £11
Can you see my goosebumps - so cold will have to wear nude tights!
So that's my outfit! I'll probably just sling on a leather jacket to keep warm getting in and out of taxis.

Are you off to any special Festive Do's? If so what are you wearing?

Oh an one more special thing, today is the Queen of pop's 29th Birthday:
