In Utero - outfit post.

Hello!

Hope your week is going well, it's finally Friday and I'm so excited for a lay-in tomorrow!

Today I have an outfit post to share, it's great for warm days - not so great for this crazy rain we've had all week:

Kimono - Primark

Jeans - Primark
Shoes - H&M

I love this kimono so much, I picked it up in Primark last month, it's really sheer, a beautiful print and really soft material.

I couldn't resist the cheapy Nirvana tank, In Utero is definitely their best album and it reminds me of my teenage years.

This always happens in Summer - I seem to want to always wear jeans! I never wear jeans except for in these warmer months which makes no sense at all! I've been trying to watch my weight again which is hard for me as I love food so much but eating healthy does make me feel much better. I'm hoping to start some exercise next month but the only thing with joining a gym is that by the time I get home from work I'm so tired and being on my feet all day means my legs ache too - like right now! I was going to go out but then I took my shoes off and now I can't move from the sofa :p

Hope you have a great weekend, I'm getting tattooed tomorrow for the first time in a year - can't wait!

Yves Rocher Youth Intensifier Serum.

With the weather being warmer (despite being raining 24/7!!!) I feel like my make-up just sliiides straight off my face so I tend not to wear it during the day when at work or if I'm staying in. This has been great for my skin, although this week I appear to of had a breakout but I did have a facial last week during a spa day.

Even though I'm 24 I think it's important to take care of my skin by using anti-aging products and with that all-natural products!
This is why I'm super excited to share Yves Rocher's youth intensifying serum with you:

Yves Rocher harvest the botanical ingredients used in the product from their own fields in Brittany, France, they are all about the power of plants. They are also super ethical which is a HUGE plus point for me they never use endangered plants, any animal-based products (bar beeswax), they never test on animals and only use palm oil sustainable by the RSPO.

Now onto the product!

The serum is very light, dries in quickly and doesn't leave any sticky or greasy feeling on your skin just a soft and smooth feeling. It can be used on its own, day or night or also in conjunction with your daily skincare routine.
The products claims that after:

1 Day - Skin radiance is restored
1 Week - Wrinkles are reduced and skin texture is refined
1 Month - Skin appears radiant with youth.

I don't know how you appear radiant with youth but I'd definitely say my skin does look more radiant after 2 weeks of use at least once a day - and people have even commented on it!

I really want to try some more products by Yves Rocher as I love their ethics and approach to skincare plus this has been a winner so far!

Urban Grow.

Good Evening!

Today I want to share some little gems I've come across via the Urban Outfitters homeware section as part of Urban Grow which is all about indoor gardening (my fave):

Large Cactus Planter.
Everything about this is perfect! I love how huge it is and how it fits thin plants in it looks awesome.
Cat uk blogger
Cat Strawberry Planter.
This is probably my favourite thing in the world ever, you fill the cup with water and the fabric tail soaks up water to feed the Strawberry plant in the kitty's backpack :')

Dolphin Watering Can.
This is so fun! There is also a duck, pig, hippo and poodle!
uk lifestyle blogger
Lavender Egg Planter.
This cutie egg also comes in Mint and a Cactus. You simply crack the eggs top, water and wait for it to grow. I love the smell of Lavender ♥!

Make Your Own Terrarium.
This is so so perfect! A mini terrarium. I love this little deer version.

Two-Tone Planter.
This huge gorgeous planter would look amazing in a corner of a room.

Diamond Terrarium.
I'd love this huge terrarium - I'd do it up so well ;)

What do you think? I lovee home-plant accessories! With this weather its so hard to get out into the garden to do anything and as soon as it rains the weeds just grow up again! Hopefully next time I move I will have loads of natural light (my biggest issue at the moment!) so I can have tons and tons of indoor plants!

Hope your weekend has gone well, I've literally spend it doing NOTHING!

Heart Explosions Shirt.

Good Afternoon!

It's finally Friday and also a bank holiday weekend - woohoo! I'll be spending my 3 days off relaxing and sleeping waiting for this gross rain to pass.

Luckily this week a tiny bit of sun shone through enough for me to get into the garden to take some pictures with my new Hawes & Curtis shirt to show off to you all:

I love the detailing on this shirt, it's my first real proper shirt-shirt as I'm used to cheapy, baggy styles. It is slim fitting and lined especially to accentuate your figure which gives a feminine silhouette.

The contrast of collar and cuff make it stand out and I love that there is a dainty little rounded collar which is so pretty. The single cuff is also rounded which doesn't make you feel like you are restricted like alot of shirt cuffs can do.

The shirt also came beautifully packaged with shirt pins holding the shirt to crease in the right places. They have some beautiful styles at the moment which are perfect for sophisticated and fashionable looks :)

What do you think of my shirt?

Hope you have a great weekend!

White Platformed Sandals.

Phewww! What a week it's been!

Finally back to work today after my wild week off. I went to Birmingham to see the amazing Prince in concert - it was incredible! Then I was down to Devon until yesterday when I came home to watch the band The Chameleons who were as brilliant as they were when I saw them last in Berlin. If you want to check out some pictures from my past week then head over to my Instagram.

When I was down in Devon me and my mum popped into Primark where I spotted these super cute little white platformed sandals:

primark white shoes
The platform is super tiny which is perfect for me as I can't walk in much higher!

As you can see they are made of thin faux leather but have a soft cushioned sole and they don't rub at all. I think they were £8 which you really can't go wrong with if you want to try this style out although I thought they looked a little strange at first they go with everything and are so cute and comfy!

What do you think of this style shoe? I've already got a huge wishlist of more I've found in different colours from different sites!

I hope you had a great week/end too.

Oh Hello!

I've been so busy this week partying and working that I've worn myself out a bit! But I have 2 days rest (minus working) now before Thursday. What is happening on Thursday you say? Well I'm only going to see Prince! I literally cannot wait I think I'm going to cry joyus tears the whole time - what a life goal ticked off! Then I'm off to Devon until Tuesday for my Mums birthday which consists of a Tapas party and a Spa day.

Anyway onto the main event - Bonnie Bling.

Cat Cafe Totnes - review and 35mm pictures.

Last month when I went back home to Devon I visited probably the BEST place ever! In the nearest town to where I live there is a cat cafe... yes that's right you can have a brew and be cuddled and smudged by kitties!

The cafe itself is so relaxed it feels like you are at home, the cats come and go as they please and you can buy a little pot of treats to share with them. The kitchen is out of bounds to the cats so its all hygienic and there are anti-bacterial handwashes on all the tables.

The cafe is run by a pet-hospital group Cool for Cats who take care of cats in need and have a shelter close-by (I think for rehoming aswell as sick or injured cats) where the 6 cats who are in the cafe also live. You can find out more information on their work HERE.
The cafe also acts as a pet-therapy place for people who have disabilities, it's also great for anyone who can't have a pet or misses a pet far away.

I took my film camera with me and these are the photos I got back (if you click the cats names you can see better pictures from the website):

The star of the show was definitely Lilac who snapped up all the treats and climbed into my bag in the search for more!
This is Felix, he was curled up sleeping most of the time but always close by to a person for a stroke.
This is Mango a gorgeous fluffy white and ginger kitty who was a bit dopey and silly and kept rolling about inside his high up cat-tree.
This gorgeous kitty is Glee, she seemed shy but once we sat down she was soon rubbing around us.

There is also Rolo a Tabby who was fast asleep in a kitty bed and also Jet - the biggest cat I've ever seen! He was like the Beast of Bodmin with his massive orange eyes and was only 18 months old! Sadly he wouldn't stay still enough for a picture - too busy stalking about.

The great thing was it wasn't busy, it was really relaxed and nobody under 16 can enter so the cats are also not stressed out - they seemed to love the attention!

Have you ever been to a cat cafe/would you go?

Hope you have a grand weekend!

Destination Unknown - Festival Flashback

When I was 14 years old I headed down to my first festival - Reading Festival 2004! I went with my Dad for the weekend (and also met friends there) to watch loads of bands and also my main reason - to see Morrissey!

I then continued my Reading Festival adventures and went in '05, '06, '07, '08 and '09 seeing so many bands and artists that I've always wanted to and also discovering new ones.
Spending from Thursday - Monday in a tent with your friends partying the whole time and dancing all night is obviously great fun and back then before rent and bills I could afford to go wild.

In 2010 the line-up for Reading wasn't worth the money for me but I had another festival in mind - The Isle of Wight Festival.
Here Jay-Z headlined and also had Kanye West come out and do some songs with him (pre- Watch the Throne collab) and also Beyonce was dancing along too! It was amazing, again a long weekend of partying, wearing sparkly make-up and seeing amazing acts.

Sadly this was my last festival and I've craved going to a new one ever since but life gets in the way!

I don't mind so much the sleeping on the ground, getting soaked with mud and not being able to wash my hair for 5 days (hello dry-shampoo!) it's all part of the fun. For festival fashion I like to take something warm/waterproof for the cold nights, cute sunglasses are a must and also something that can be worn with or without your festival best-friend - TIGHTS! I feel the atmosphere is the most important thing about a festival - that and wild make-up ;)

BANK Fashion are running a competition at the moment named #destinationunknown where you can win the opportunity to be BANKs eyes and ears reporting on the sights, sounds and trends of 3 European festivals this Summer (but they are kept a secret) - how incredible!

So this is my entry! Good Luck to all involved

Kimono Skater Dress - Wedding Outfit post.

As I mentioned a couple weeks back I went back to Devon last weekend for a wedding.

It was a great day, the weather wasn't so great but it was all inside a marque so everybody was dry. It was a boozy affair (our party favours were home-made spirits) but luckily I got to spend a few days in Devon recovering!

Here is the dress I wore, I dyed my hair Pearl Blonde again and only wore a couple of little silver rings as the dress was embellished:

Dress: ASOS
Shoes: Primark

Although I look pretty chunky here (much to my dismay!) but I'm thinking it may be the skater style skirt with the kimono embellished top half doesn't photograph well!

Anyway I do love the dress and it's really pretty.

This weekend I was still poorly, I rested, partied (a tiny bit) and also went to watch Merthyr Town loose the playoffs sadly not make it into the next league.

Hope you had a great weekend!

Adventures in 35mm

Hello!

I've had a lack of posting this week due to being away in Devon for the first part and then super ill for the last part, I'm still suffering but finally have a little bit of motivation to write something small :)

When I was a teenager I was really into film-photography usually lomo cameras but I did have a Nikon SLR (which I actually recently found again and can't wait to use!).

Recently I purchased an old Pentax 35mm SLR for super cheap to get back into the swing of things. I love and most definitely prefer the outcome of film photography, I prefer things looking a bit old and tatty but obviously lighting can be an issue so I have to find my footing. Here are my faves from the first roll I shot with my new(old) Pentax:

old school 'selfie' :p
This camera lens is definitely better for focusing on one object close-up.
Little Lord Prince.
Beach adventure.
Totally stripped sheep skeleton.
This is a little stray with half a tail who sits outside my window all the time and comes for a stroke.

I've already shot another roll and am halfway through a new one but I've been waiting for payday to be able to develop the films which I will do next week.

I can't wait to share some more film pics on here!

Hope you have a great weekend!
