Celebrating National Cupcake Week With Lingerie!

Happy National Cupcake Week!

And thats's not all I'm celebrating as this post here marks my 300TH Post!!

I was contacted by Debenhams to celebrate this awesome week with cute lingerie and cupcakes! So while I stuff my face - take a look at my lingerie review:

National Cupcake Week Celebrations!
Gorgeous Peach Spotted Longline Bra and Thong.
Ashley Thomas at Home Cupcake Jar. (I love ALL the Ashley Thomas range so this is such a pleasure to have in my kitchen!)
The cute little bow has tiny green flowers on it (see 'em?) and the same is on the front bow of the thong too.
More cutie detailing.
I have to be honest here - I FREAKING HATE THONGS! This one is SO pretty and I have tried it on but maybe it's because I have such a ghetto booty that it just feeling like butt-floss and i really can't feel comfy in them.

The bra I love though, the material is soft and it isn't padded but has great underwiring and wiring along the sides to give full support. Gorgeous are DD-H bra's and with my new-found big-boobies I was like 'ohh yeah I'm DD!' haha :P

So I urge you to get in your undies - curl up under a blankie and scoff cupcakes for this special occasion!

Baileys Cupcakes.

As it's Pancake Day over here in the UK, and I already did THIS post on pancakes a few weeks too early (who says pancakes are for just one day!) I thought I'd show you a delicious cupcake recipe!

The cupcakes in question are made with that sweet treat - Baileys!

Cakes:
40g Unsalted butter.
140g Caster sugar.
100g Plain white flour
20g Cocoa powder
1.5tsp of Baking powder.
1 Free range egg
50ml Baileys
80ml Whole milk.

Icing:
125g Unsalted butter.
500g Icing Sugar
15ml Whole milk
45ml Baileys
Sprinkle cocoa powder.

As you can see mine did NOT turn out like the pics on the recipe but thats because I only used a tiny bit of icing sugar and freaked out at the consistency haha! I won't make that mistake again!

I got the recipe from BakingMad.com where there are tons of cute and super easy ideas to draw inspiration from. They even have a tutorial to show you how to make basic and easy cupcakes.

What are your favourite types of cupcake? I also LOVE Red Velvet!

Slime Cakes - Recipe.

These cake weren't supposed to look like I had poured slime all over them - but they do! Don't worry they taste yummy so it doesn't matter.

Ingredients:

2oz of butter
2 cups of caster sugar
2 beaten eggs
1 cup of milk
2/3 cups of self-raising flour.
1tsp of Vanilla extract.

First of all I creamed the butter and sugar together then added the 2 beaten eggs with the teaspoon of Vanilla flavouring.
Next up I added the flour and milk in parts to create a thick mixture and placed it evenly into cupcake papers.
Bake for 10-15 mins on 180*c.

Once left to cool down I made the slimey looking icing glaze.

Ingredients:

1 cup of icing sugar
1 tbs of milk
2 tsp green colouring
1/2 tsp on vanilla extract.

First up I place the milk in a container, then added the Vanilla flavour. After this I kept adding small amount of icing and stirring until the sugar had dissolved.
Once all the sugar was dissolved I added the green food colouring until it looked bright enough.

As this glaze sets quickly I immediately placed over the top of the cooled down cakes, as it was wet it ran a little - making it look like slime! I added edible silver balls to jazz it up a little.

I've just had one and they taste great!

Don't forget tomorrow is giveaway day!
