I have to say at first glance I'm actually kind of disappointed, I've heard it's a bit like H&M but with Primark price tags (Well old Primark they raised the bar a bit!) But I found this isn't the case. I checked out the US site ages ago and thought 'wow this place is cheap and filled with joy', but as some of you know I'm off to New York in Jan so I will be waiting to hit up the new Times Square store and get some bargains!
To be honest not alot appealed to me, maybe it's the way they are setup, perhaps the look better in store? I can't comment but there is a great post from the gorgeous Irene about the F21 new UK Birmingham store opening.
Anyway here are some of the items I did like from the new Forever 21 UK site:
Oversized Two Tone Top - £13.80 French Terry Top - £15.80 3/4 Geo Top - £15.80 Polka Dot Pullover - £15.80 oh by the way I'm a massive bore and these are all grey sweaters! Whatever a grey sweater will go with anything AND keep you warm! |
'S' Initial Necklace - £3.80 Croc Studded Clutch - £17.80 Deer Portrait Necklace - £4.80 Owl Portrait Necklace - £4.80 The jewellery is alot nicer and very reasonably priced. Unfortunately no shoes jumped out at me :( |
Ok so going back through trying to find links to these items, I actually found alot more I like. Maybe I will have to do a pt 2 post.
What items do you like?
x
I liked the jewellery, but like you say nothing really appealed, I'm going to NY in May, so think I'm gonna save my pennies for then too :D xxxx
ReplyDeletei like all you've shared! i have to admit the site isn't as fab as i thought it would be, shame cos the shops nice!
ReplyDeletexx
I know what you mean! I do really love the jewellery and accessories though! xo
ReplyDeleteI was going to do a Forever 21 post too, and also picked out that polka dot sweater as one of the best bits. But then I realised I didn't like much more so I don't think I can fill a post! The owl deer necklaces are cute though, and not badly priced.
ReplyDeleteI love me a grey sweatshirt, so I do. The website isn't too impressive, I have to agree but there's a store recently opened in Dublin that I'm very much looking forward to checking out soon.
ReplyDeleteI agree I thought a lot of it was dated and cheap looking. I didn't have a proper look last night because there was just so much! I like the rings x
ReplyDeleteSome of the sweaters are nice but like you I was disappointed. It was all just bland and dated :/ Lily's scarf and tee looked lovely in the post she did about a couple pieces from her haul though.
ReplyDeleteI'm a big fan of grey jumpers! I dunno though, I'd have to go in store and have a look at the cut and quality of the clothing. I find places like Primark vary so drastically that there's no way I'd ever buy from them online. H&M is slightly better so here's hoping Forever 21 is more like them!
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment (and tips)! Can't afford any Mac (boo hiss!) but I will have a look at the Rimmel lippies thanks.
ReplyDeleteI haven't checked it out yet, will soon after I write this comment lol. I kind of wish they would open in Australia, we don't really have anything here.
ReplyDeleteI really like the polkadot jumper and the necklaces, I haven't found anything on the website that jumps out at me. It seems a massive disappointment after all the hype that was made, which is a shame!
ReplyDeleteI've had a quick browse through and as you said, nothing really looks appealing. It's probably going to be a case of searching for that one gem you love, like I find in primark.
ReplyDeleteI did find some nice court shoes and some accessories though, but there was quite a lot of jewellery!
I really love the 3/4 geo top with that hat! Totally wish i had the model body/hair/features to pull that look off!
ReplyDeleteI'm a gray sweater/any item fiend! I love how much it can go with! Lovely picks, I love the polka dot sweater.
ReplyDeleteI actually think the stuff on the website looks way better than it does in the store. Forever 21, like H&M, is definitely one of those stores where I won't buy without trying on or buy online. The fit and sizing is really unpredictable! The jewelry is great, though, if you're looking for a few nice pieces on the cheap.
ReplyDeletecan't wait to buy something, it's so cheap!!
ReplyDeletelove love love your blog!
would you like to link exchange?

I really like the look of it, you know how it is when you see it online you can't really get the feel. Once everyone is rocking it on their blogs I'm sure we will all get a real idea of what the clothing is like. Oh thank you for sharing this hun, going to go check it out now :) Can not wait xxxxxx
ReplyDeleteI LOVE forever 21 photos on there website very vintage!

Jewellery looks lovely, but the clothes seem a bit blah.

You know how sometimes website layout really puts you off? I think this kinda happened to me with the forever 21 site. I browsed for all of ten minutes, didn't find much I liked and really couldn't be bothered. Maybe at somepoint I'll gather my energy to give it another go.

I totally agree - love some of the jewellery but the clothes seem a little dated. I guess my expectations were so high after years of seeing US bloggers wearing gorgeous finds from F21! Hopefully they'll listen to feedback and up their game for SS11....

I had no idea they were opening in the UK, thanks for the tip! I used to shop occasionally in F21 in Singapore. The quality is far from pristine, sometimes extremely disappointing, but they do deliver in terms of prices and trends.
ReplyDeleteI've bought some things off of forever 21 online for school a few months ago. They do have some good prices. I love your blog!
ReplyDeletePlease follow me??!!

HEllo my friend! I am sorry you were a little disappointed with F21! Everyone over here in the states are completely obsessed. I do like it, but I am VERY careful what I buy from there, bc it really honestly doesn't last past 2 washes. I usually wont pay over $30 for anything there bc its rarely worth it!
ReplyDeleteHowever, I hope you have SUCH a fab time in NYC!! I am SO crazy excited for you, it is my most fav place in the US!! You will love it!!!!

ReplyDeletegreat post m'dear as always.
love love <3
I buy at forever21 online but from the one of usa since we don't have the store in my country. I love it because they have awesome things and so unexpensive.
ReplyDeleteLovely blog and i have to say that i love your hair!
I LOVE shopping at F21!!! :D
ReplyDeleteI really like how they have really nice pieces at a affordable price.
However, I found that some of the rings I've bought there turn my fingers green :/
I can't complain much though, since they ARE only around $4 hehe
I'm not that taken with the stuff. Some of it is nice, but none of it really jumps out at me!
ReplyDeletewow, i actually really like some of this! and i dont like F21! x
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, it's alright but I was expecting a whole lot more! I haven't had chance to go to the store yet but I'm hoping the website is just set out badly.
