Kat Von D 'True Love' Eyeshadow Palette - review and swatches.

Just a quick post about one of my NYC beauty buys, this time the Kat Von D 'True Love' eyeshadow palette part of the 'True Romance' collection:

(L-R) Peanut, Benji, Rebekah, Lucifer, Cholita, Skiba, Babe, Missy.

Peanut - a shimmy light gold/brown.
Benji - a creme gold foil.
Rebekah - a dark, subtle shimmery brown.

Lucifer - a smokey black.
Cholita - a petrol purple.
Skiba - a shimmery dark purple.

Babe - a light lilac.
Missy - a white/silver that's very shimmery.
Like I said in my lipstick review, Kat's products last SO long, the pigmentation is amazing and a little goes a long way! I bought this palette as I have dark brown eyes and the colours I already know suit me more.

The packaging is great, comes in a box and a hard case with a mirror inside and brushes. I've used this everyday since I've bought it and Sephora don't ship to the UK - so I guess that mean's I'll have to book another trip!

What are your favourite eyeshadows? Any you'd recommend for a Brown eyed girl?

  10. Ahhh I love all these colours! I think I'll have a massive make up haul when I get the chance to visit NYC! I'm guessing the Kat Von D make up range isn't available anywhere in the UK?

Some of the Chanel Quad Eyeshadows would look good with brown eyes :)

  11. I want one of these now, you are bad for my bank balance lady. The second half of the palette are all colours I wear regularly. I am a big fan of Revlon eyshadows, and they have a big range on colours.

Please excuse me for going all fangirl here, but naming an eyeshadow after Matt Skiba is fucking cool.

  12. I absolutely love this. Can we get our hands on this in the UK? And where from? I have blue eyes so if you have any palette advice please share because during the day my eyes only see a pale gold/brown palette and I am so bored I don't even feel like I am wearing makeup any more...

  14. Benji and peanut look yummy :) oh god, I have no idea what eyeshadows I'd reccomend. Woodwinked is a nice shimmery brown from mac, and it goes with every look and can be blended nicely into every other colour! This pallete looks amazing, I would love to try some stuff from the kat von d range. Might have a nosy at it online and tease myself with a wishlist! Unless I can get to new york any time soon :p Going over to have a nosy at your guest post just now gal :) xx

  16. Laura - I have grey blue eyes, I find purples bring out the blue alot. Green looks pretty rad too, or if you can get a hold of them, shimmery navy blues.
