I said in THIS post that I've only just got into blush and this is my 3rd blush I've bought. I actually bought it in New York it cost me $19.50 (approx £12) but here for the same blush it would cost £17! I went with MAC as I use alot of their products, I love the products and the packaging (I'm such a sucka).
Anyway, I went with a sheertone powder blush, I picked up 'Pinch O' Peach' which is a warm peach/pink as I'm really fair skinned and just wanted something to make me a little rosy:
MAC Pinch O' Pinch - $19.50 |
I used a small brush to give me a light cover. |
Here I used an angled brush to define my cheeks more and give a heavier cover. |
Now this is where I turn to YOU - my wonderful readers! I'm looking for a sort of highlighting blush/powder that doesn't necessarily have to be a colour but just adds a bit of shine/shimmer/highlight to the tops of my cheek.
Any suggestions or links you can give me would be great, I'll check them all out and do some research.
Hope your week is going well so far!

That is such a nice blush!

Oh, I love Mac blush, it looks good on you. Nice subtle colour. I use benefits hi beam as a highlighter which is really good.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment on my blog. x
Love that colour, my Mac blush is a similar colour and I got it at an outlet so cost me about £10 I think? Highlighter wise... I use benefit high beam, but used to use a no.7 one which had do much in a bottle so pretty cost effective. I have a cream as I wear it under my usual blush.
ReplyDeleteHope that helps!

Gorgeous blush, looks lovely against your skin colour :)
ReplyDeleteI normally use Eyeko 3 in 1 cream for a highlight, or elf mineral glow in shimmer for a more subtle highlight. x
your skin is flawless, the blush is such a nice tone.love it :)

e.l.f have a great Shimmering Facial Whip and it's only £1.50 I also use their all over colour stick as a highlighter. Benefit highbeam is good but quite pricey x
ReplyDeleteThat blush is lovely :) the best highlight I have come across and use everyday is NARS albatross. I love it! :)
ReplyDeleteThe colour is gorgeous, it looks great with your skin tone :) xo

Slightly more affordable -
Eyeko 3in1 cream (Superrr cute packaging),Revlon pure confection highlightor (can only buy online), Accesorise golden sand.
Hope this helps xx
This looks so pretty.
ReplyDeleteI love Nars Nico for a highlighter - it's not got a particular colour to it but it definitely adds a nice glow. x
Oh that looks very nice on you, I find it very hard to get the right tone blusher for my complexion!

Oh this colour is perfect on you! Have you tried Benefit Moon Beam for high lighting? X

Ooh it looks lovely, I love peach blush.
ReplyDeleteBenefit do some good highlighting products, though I just use lighter blushers. I have a really pale pink Kryolan which does the job!
Blush is the one thing I never really buy, but always want. My most recent purchase that I really like is the Eyeko fat balm in toffee. I don't know what the other shades are like, but it goes on really well on top of cream foundation and blends really nicely. You can build up the colour too.

Mac blushes will always be my fave! :) This looks gorgeous on you, totally perfect for your complexion! I've got a Mac mineralize skinfinish in 'by candlelight', I dont know if they do it anymore of what collection it was a part of but its nice and shimmery and I brush it over my cheekbones and nose! I thiiiink that might be the kinda thing youre after :) I wear it aswell as blusher! xx
ReplyDeleteif you want powder highlighter get NARS Albatross! & if you want a creamy one I use MAC Strobe Creme at the minute but I think it's overpriced, so Eyeko 3 in 1 stuff in the pink pot is just as good!

Heya!! I have recently been using 'cargo cheek activator blush cream', you can get it in boots, its a bit pricey, think around the £18 mark but everyone comments on it anytime I wear it. And i LOVE it! you only need a pee-sized amount too.

Love the blush! Might start saving...
ReplyDeleteIf it's sparkly highlights you want, the Boots Naturals range has what is technically an eyeshadow (candyfloss) but is quite subtly pink with lots of shine. Under £2 too!

MAC Warm Soul (may be too dark for your skin tone) or any baked blush I suppose? Check out Accessorize's range x
ReplyDeleteThat colour really suits you!
ReplyDeleteI use either Eyeko Fat Balm in Minty or Extra Glow cream to add a bit of shimmer to my cheeks. They're both quite flattering for pale skin.
Oww nice you should try the topshop blush sooo good, I can't go without blush I would look dead haha BTW you have thee most perfect skin xxxx glowing hun xxxx
ReplyDeleteWhat a really nice blush, I know people might thinks it's cheapo, but I swear by collection 2000 shimmer block, it looks like it has flowers embedded in to it. I love high end make-up but that is a real winner for me and is exactly what you are looking for, it's about 4 quid xxx
ReplyDeleteThe Urban Decay in 'Score' has just the right amount of shimmer and colour.
ReplyDeletePale skin loves it!
That color looks perfect on you! I love blush- I have a whole assortment so I can change on a daily basis, from a soft touch of color to intense rosy. Actually, MAC came out with really pretty highlight for their brand new collection- one is more pinky/silvery (cool toned), called "Play It Proper" and the other is more golden (warm toned), called "Too Chic". I really liked the pinky one as I thought it looked quite pearly and natural. I'm thinking of buying it myself.

ReplyDeleteIve always been scared to use blush because I have quite olive skin. Just stuck to bronzer! That is such a lovely shade that it makes me want to venture out into blush! I might try a cheap one to see if it suits me!
