Meet Prince - WARNING: Kitten Picture-Heavy Post!

As I said in my last post after posting a picture of my kitty playing in the snow, I would do a little introduction to him.

In October one of my housemates and me were in a pet-shop and met this adorable little kitten who was climbing the cage and chirping like crazy for our attention. It was instant love! We took him home and it's been madness ever since.

We decided to name him Prince (after the one and only) as we are massive fans and bought him a very Prince-esque collar. It is purple velvet with a silver glitter stripe and hanging off it is the 'Prince' symbol (which I also got tattooed last year on my ankle after an impromptu night watching Purple Rain and drinking Rose wine).

Meet Prince!

The first day we got him aged 8 weeks:

Dress up:

Growing up fast:

Notice his Prince collar?

He is so full of character and has the most beautiful markings, I literally have no idea what breed (if any) he is a cross with but he chirps instead of meows, is super long and has a really long tail, he has a leopard print belly and also jumps higher and further than any cat I've ever seen!

Any cat experts out there have any hint as to what exactly Prince is?!
It takes alot of energy looking after this one but I adore him :)

Sorry for the kitty heavy post! Hope your week is going swell so far.

  5. This actually made me squeal, haha! What an adorable little kitten. And I love the name too. I'd love a cat though I'm a student so moving about every year wouldn't exactly be ideal for a cat.
Hope you enjoy many joyous memories with Prince and don't forget to share some with us too ;)

  9. Aw he's so adorable! And the fact that you say he chirps, and jumps really far... maybe he's part bird? Haha! xx

  10. Awww he's so cute! Judging from his markings he looks like he has Bengal in him. I have 2 and their markings are like his (although Prince looks like he has a marble patterned coat, mine are spotted) and Bengals chirp too :D If mine see birds they start chirping like crazy! Try googling 'marble bengal' and see if he looks similar :)

  12. i see this type of cats on the streets everyday. i had one for a while. full of energy and personality. i think it just depends on the kitty, not breed. don't know. anyway, he's a sweetie.

  20. Oh my word he is absolutely GORGEOUS. My boyfriend and I moved in together about a month ago and are both pining for a cat something chronic, but unfortunately we're in a ground floor flat and our own private access is a set of patio doors, which isn't exactly cat flap friendly :(
