LUSH Sparkly Pumpkin review

uk lush beauty blog review sparkly pumpkin halloween 2014

I'm all about the novelty of Halloween, if I can get it in a Halloween theme - I'm having it! Like I said in my Devil dress-up post I'm not really decorating this Halloween (I have a few lanterns and a banner up with some cobwebs) as it falls on a Friday and I'm off to a party this year so I won't be making mess with my own pumpkins! Be sure to check out my Instagram and Twitter for updates on my Halloween costume on Friday - It's not the Devil costume either ;)

This year LUSH have bought out the Sparkly Pumpkin, it's very different to last years LUSH pumkin' bubble bar it's more sophisticated and I'd say so is the smell. This year the smell is more refreshing than Autumnal with Grapefruit, Lime and Juniper Berries. The bubble bar is also bigger so you can easily get two baths from this (but I like to crumble the whole bar) and the glitter is very subtle and doesn't get everywhere like some other bubble bars.

As you can see it's an opaque orange colour with little flecks of gold glitter and super bubbly!

Have you tried any of the new Autumn/Winter Lush ranges yet?

Today I discovered my camera has a video function so was thinking of diving into the world of Vlogging, any tips?

Flower Baths - Lush vs. Miss. Patisserie.

I've been desperate to have a floral bath for such a while now, bathing surrounded by petals seems like a movie scene!

I went for a mini LUSH spree on pay-day and one of the fabulous Cardiff team showed me the new Easter Bubble Bar - Bunny! He was so cute I didn't want to squish him up for my bathtime however with promises of blue cornflowers inside I just had to jump in:

I was a little dissapointed by the cornflowers are they were more like twigs and a couple of flowers. The smell was delish and very sweet plus the bath water was pink and the bubbles lasted for my whole bath and left me feeling silky smooth.

After I had used my LUSH Bunny I was introduced to a local brand named Miss. Patisserie. I was sent one of their fizzy bath balls which also creates a flower-bath:

Unlike lush's cornflowers this fizzy bath ball had full-on rose petals and tiny cassis this created the perfect floral bath! The fragrance lasted for so long I could smell it through my flat all evening. The fizz was also alot bubblier than LUSH's Bunny however the bubbles last about 10mins before the water cleared.

Like LUSH, Miss. Patisserie have super strict Animal Cruelty views and wont use any manufacturer/supplier who tests on animal and are all handmade. Plus they are Cardiff born and bred which is amazing! (but you can buy their products all over the world!) Now I'm bursting to try some more of their bath fizzes like Tropical Flowers and Intergalactic.

I loved having full size petals in my bath I felt so fancy! Have you ever tried one?

LUSH Halloween 'Pumkin' Bubble Bar

Last week LUSH Cardiff invited a bunch of people to try and buy their Christmas 2013 products before they were released. There were lots of amazing and cute Christmassy bits but first up is Halloween, so obviously as soon as I laid my eyes on their "Pumkin" (yes it's spelt with no 'p') and I just had to have the little cutie!

A big ol' cauldron of Pumpkin Coloured water!
The bath water was an amazing orange and so bubbly! It has ylang ylang and orange flower absolut in it which gave it a lovely Autumn smell and left me feeling all smooth.

They also have this "Lord of Misrule" bathbomb which I'm going to try next week - its named after the Pagan Feast of Fools ruler and as you know - I'm all over that!

Are you excited for the LUSH Christmas products?
