New Hair Colour: From Platinum to Pearl.

I've been using the same blonde hairdye (Live Colour XXL by Schwarzkopf in Absolute Platinum) for the past 8 years now. Recently, despite my hair being in good condition, it's decided to never take any brassy tones out and is leaving me with different patches of colour. Super annoying!

So I went on a mission to find a different shade and came across this one:

Pearl Blonde - L'oreal.
BEFORE: As you can see I have brassy tones in my fringe, even though I shampoo with a toner it's been driving me wild recently, it never used to be so brassy!
AFTER: As the dye was taking to my hair it was turning a purple colour. After I washed and dried my hair it was almost a silver blonde.
I can definitely see why its called Pearl Blonde.
The photo's don't really do it that much justice, I really like the change and its so much brighter.
I'm really not sure why after using the same dye for many years my hair decided to turn a bit brassy when it never did for years before but I like my little change. I'm sure I'll get bored in a couple weeks and end up putting a lilac or peach in it again!

What hair dyes do you use? Do you do it yourself or go to the hairdressers?

Hope you had an awesome weekend!

These are a few of my favourite things...

I get tagged in these things and never ever do them because I forget and it doesn't fit in with my blog. But I thought seeing as I'm getting busier with work (Christmas and retail really are awful together!) I'd give you a bit of an insight into my interests and the superficial things I love!

So I was tagged by the beautiful Dottie to write a list of Ten of the things I love (this is definitely going to take me until Midnight!) I'm going to do it as things/people I love but there's so much I'm going to just combine them.
Here it goes:

1. City Life:
Not sure where this image is from, been my background forever. Let me know if it's yours.
I don't just mean NYC as much as I love it getting to live in America is like trying to do a rubix cube blind folded. I just crave city life! I live in a small(ish) costal town and crave fun everynight, there is nothing to do here and options are slim-to-none.

2. Celebrity Gossip:
(via.)
I know it's shallow, it's unfair, it gets my through my day! People in the limelight's dirty laundry being aired must give me some sort of escape from reality because I love it, it's like my niche, if I were to go on Mastermind it would be my key subject.

3.  These TV Shows:
Curb, RHOA, Desperate Housewives, RuPaul's Drag Race, The Walking Dead, Arrested Development, Boardwalk Empire, Jersey Shore, RHONJ.
Some of these are guilty pleasures but I adore them, I spend all week looking forward to new episodes (bar Arrested Development R.I.P) and Curb is coming back soon! Anyone else watch any of these?

Totally forgot to add Glee, thats probably my favourite show ever and I forget it - thanks Gem :P

4. These Men:
Johnny Knoxville, Justin Timberlake, Zac Efron, Kanye West, Jay-Z, Joseph-Gordon Levitt, Morrissey, Joe Jonas.
Zac Efron is top of my list, the others are just eye candy/men I admire or wanna party with (here's looking at you Kanye).

5.These Ladies:
Britney Spears, Deborah Harry, Lady Gaga, Gwen Stefani, Nicki Minaj, Zooey Deschanel.
These ladies inspire me, the way I dress, the way I live life and my attitude. I get called 'Debbie' by one of my best friends, Deborah Harry is probably my idol. Gwen is probably my biggest style icon.

6. My pets:
Pippa, Sidney, Oliver.
I love my pets, I get so stressed dealing with people all day so my animals are a little release.

7. Drag Queens:
(via.)
My obsession started with Ru Paul, the worlds most famous drag queen (who turned 50 this week!) Fierce Bitch is FIERCE. Watching Ru's show 'Ru Paul's Drag Race' introduced some fresh faces of drag. To me I love it! It's not about being in the wrong body or anything, these men enjoy the show and the performance. The make-up and styling is some of the best around (see Tyra Sanchez) and if I was born a man I'd definitely be a drag queen! Eleganza Extravaganza!

8. Tea:
(via.)
I 100% support the statement that a cup of tea solves everything.

9. Filthy Glamour:
(1,2,3,4,5)
Glitter, studs, spikes, platforms, doing it for the fame, dancing until you ache, grubby clubs, bizarre people, fitting right in and doing it for the fame.

10. Friends:
In London, Halloween '08, At Reading Fest '09, Tattoos, Us on Saturday, On a Tuesday night filled with joy.
I only have a few close friends and they are golden. This is Max, she's just one who's been around for a long time, we are off to NY together and have matching tattoos. We laugh until we hurt and crave the same things from life.

So that's it a little insight to the girl behind the blog.

I pass this onto ALL OF YOU! I want all the people who comment me all the time to do one so i can get to know you better too!

Rock N' Rose - Outfit Post

Seeing as payday isn't for another 10 days and I have loads of Christmas (bleugh) shopping to do I thought I'd be an idiot and buy myself a new jumper! Luckily, I love it enough to be reckless and justify my purchase and to be fair I am in real need of a pick me up.

It looks like a cheesy 80's hair metal sweater thats been ripped and worn to every gig going - so very me!
Couldn't resist a panther pose either.
I know it's far too cold for shorts but I was just mooching the house.

Cropped Panther Sweater - £30 Topshop Concessions Rock Rebels (how can I resist that name!)
White shirt - £1.99 H&M
'Bonnie' necklace - £13 Wallpaper Rose

In most of my outfit posts I have my hair up but been wearing it down recently. As you can see I am in DIRE need of doing my roots but I'm actually about to do it after I finish this!
You can't really see but i tried to 'galaxy' my nails they look swell!

I was gifted this beautiful handmade necklace by the lovely Louise from Wallpaper Rose. Of course an anchor was a dream for me (see my tattoo above).
You HAVE to check out some of the amazing shirts and other jewels she makes!
My lucky readers can also get 10% off (until 14th December) using the code 'COWBISCUITS' at the checkout - so get on it! Let me know what other things you like too :)

I have had formspring for a while now but I'm a bit dubious about putting it on here 'cus of all the hate going around at the moment (I'm fragile!) but HERE is the link for any Q's or anything you want to know about me :)

Ohh go on then!

I've seen these posted on about a billion blogs BUT I don't care! I got sucked in, I bought one, yes you know it, it's the...TOPSHOP PETER PAN COLLAR TUNIC!

I got a navy one (although blogger likes to squish my images so it looks almost black in the 2nd picture) and I love it!

Topshop Peter Pan tunic - £28
It's short so I'll definitely find a way to layer this up with a coat of long cardi, any colour suggestions?
It has loonng sleeves that bell out a bit, they have a very 60's/70's feel so I opted to just roll the sleeves up which I usually do with anything long sleeved - I need to be free!
I teamed the tunic up with my (fairly) new boots from River Island - £39.99
They keep my feet so snug!

On Sunday I was lucky enough to win a Twitter competition held by the lovely Temporary Secretary  who specialise in gorgeous, cute, and quirky jewellery. I'm also in love with this 'Mr.Squid' necklace!

I won the 'Red Lips' necklace and could you think of a better thing to suit me?
To get your own 'Red Lips' necklace click HERE.
What Topshop piece are you loving at the moment?

Don't forget to enter the giveaway if you haven't already - The winner will be chosen Monday.
I hope you all have a great weekend!

Outfit: Grunge-tastic!

The mags are going wild for Grunge right now, and as a 90's child (missed the 80's by 1 day can you believe!?) and a total goff, I'm all up for a bit of grunge.
I recently watched a documentary on Kurt and Courtney so I decided to channel my inner Courtney and do a grunge based outfit post.

Jumper - Primark £11
Shorts - Primark £8

Belt - Therapy - £12.99
Ring - H&M - £1.99 (pack of 4)

This is the first time I've curled my hair since having a fringe,
I keep it all together with the fittingly titled 'Rockaholic' by TIGI

Brooklyn T - Topshop - £18
I'm down for anything rock n' roll, studs, leather, baggy jumpers and big hair - I'm there! I'm even starting up my own GlamRock n' Roll band (which will probably fail like all my other bands haha).

Also, I've hit to big 300 so possibly Friday I will announce a giveaway for all you lovelies!
I'm off the Manchester on Friday until Monday, any bloggers from Manc?

Don't forget to hit me up on Twitter or MSN I'm loving talking to all you new people :)

A girl can never have enough lipstick!

After a long week of being ill I'm almost back to my usual self, so apologies for the lack of posts last week I've been erm...very lethargic!
Last week at work a colleague wanted to get a bag from Avon but you had to spend over a certain amount and she needed to make up £5, so being the kind soul I am, I decided to help out and get me some new lipsticks (and an eyeshadow duo but I'll post that one tomorrow). Like my title says - a girl can never have enough lipstick!

Part of 'Color Trend: Kiss n' Go'.
In 'Garnet Glow' and 'Amethyst'
 L-R: 'Amethyst', 'Garnet Glow'
This is Garnet Glow it's a pinky-red with glittery bits in, it's actually alot lighter in person.

This picture doesn't show the glitter very well but it's very subtle and really nice and smooth.

This is Amethyst, a darker pink almost purple, love this for a wintery look.

Anyone who follows me on Twitter will know how excited I was for the MAC Venomous Villains collection to be released online today, I managed to pick up 2 pieces (despite wanting 3 but I'm on a tight budget!) so look out for them at the end of the week.

Also today I was featured on the beautiful Sophia's Journal as part of her Sunday Click List, I was shocked to see my face pop up there haha.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Bunting + New hair!

I recently bought a new sewing machine ( a Jenome Mini), and also a whole load of fabric, what better way to enjoy this by making some good ol' bunting!

It was really simple to make, I just cut triangles out of a floral fabric measured and marked to 15cm across and cut to a triangle point at 7.5cm. The same again for the denim (which I sacrificed an old pair of shorts for!)

To finish off I just pinned the pompom trimming to the fabric and sewed along.

My mum displayed it in our kitchen (I felt like a 5 year old who had just come home from school with a drawing) - Please note the photo of Gordon Ramsey is NOT mine!

Recently my hair has been feeling a little lifeless due to bleaching and straightening, so I drew some 'Hairspiration' from my idols - Deborah Harry, Gwen Stefani and Lady Gaga, called up my lovely hairdresser Sophie and went for a full fringe chop!

This is it, I will probably tie is back most of the time like this until my layers mix in.

Not quite so fabulous but I love it anyway!

Have a great Thursday!
