MAC Haute & Naughty Lash Mascara - review and swatches.

Hey!
Hope you have all had an awesome extended weekend, I loved all the wedding related posts I've seen! I've been a little ill and people who follow me on Twitter might have noticed BUT I'm back on track now, so here we go.

You may remember me saying in THIS post that when I ordered my MAC Quite Cute Blush, I got a free mascara, well here it is!

Haute & Naughty Double Effect Mascara - £17.50 (or free in my case!).
Instantly fell in love with the glittery packaging.
What it is, the pink lid you see is one mascara brush, then the glitter lid is another which with the pink inside, doubles up.

This is just the pink lid's brush.

Before with no mascara.

After with the 1st brush.

Then here is what it looks like with the 2 brushes combined.

With the 2 brushes.
As you can see I have REALLY short stubby eyelashes, so I preferred using just the 1st brush as was lighter for my eyelashes. I guess my opinion is a little bit bias because I don't really get any benefit out of using the 2 brushes together because of my tiny lashes, but if you had nice healthy ones I could totally see it working!

Anybody else tried/got any reviews of this? I'd love to see.

MAC Pinch O' Peach Blush.

I said in THIS post that I've only just got into blush and this is my 3rd blush I've bought. I actually bought it in New York it cost me $19.50 (approx £12) but here for the same blush it would cost £17! I went with MAC as I use alot of their products, I love the products and the packaging (I'm such a sucka).

Anyway, I went with a sheertone powder blush, I picked up 'Pinch O' Peach' which is a warm peach/pink as I'm really fair skinned and just wanted something to make me a little rosy:

MAC Pinch O' Pinch - $19.50

I used a small brush to give me a light cover.

Here I used an angled brush to define my cheeks more and give a heavier cover.

Now this is where I turn to YOU - my wonderful readers! I'm looking for a sort of highlighting blush/powder that doesn't necessarily have to be a colour but just adds a bit of shine/shimmer/highlight to the tops of my cheek.
Any suggestions or links you can give me would be great, I'll check them all out and do some research.

Hope your week is going well so far!

MAC Gel Eye-Liner - review.

My mum went away this weekend to London and as a treat (I assume for leaving me alone/looking after our animals) she asked me if there was anything from MAC (there are no counters around these parts) while she was up there. I've been after a gel eye-liner for ages so what took the opportunity to ask for the MAC gel eye-liner (and she also got me the brush too, I'm very lucky!):

MAC Fluidline Eye-liner Gel in Blacktrack.
MAC 210 Precise Eye-Liner Brush.

It goes on really smoothly and easily although I recommend using the correct brush (or a very thin brush) as you only need a little and that little bit goes a LONG way.

As you can see it comes out quite dark. In the pot you get 3 grams, I've only used it twice now and I know it will last me forever!

This is me at the end of the day today after wearing it to work, I haven't touched it up. It holds SO well and doesn't smudge. Not too sure if its waterproof yet but a new episode of Glee is on tomorrow so I'm sure I will find out watching that!

Not much else to say except it's amazing, definite value for money, goes on like a dream and stays on all day. So happy with this product after 2 days of owning it I don't think I will go back to liquid liner!

What is your favourite eyeliner?

MAC Venomous Villains - review and swatches.

As all of you MAC Cosmetics fans know they recently teamed up with Disney to form the 'Venomous Villains' collection, all of course are limited edition and most of it sold out pretty much as soon as it launched on the website on Monday.

Luckily I managed to pick up a couple pieces, I would have liked more but my bank account will not allow it right now, so here's what I got:

'Innocence, Beware!' part of the Cruella DeVille range (and personally my fave villain - minus the puppy murder!)
Alot of reviews have been saying how cheap the packaging is but I really love i
t, especially the outer packaging.
It's a dark pink nude colour in a Creme Sheen - so great for Winter! Nice and creamy so will keep lips moist and last a long time.

With it on (lack of lighting here apologies!)
I really like it, it makes a change form wearing red or pink.

Nail Laquer in 'Formidable!' - part of the Maleficent collection.
It's described as having a 'bruise' look to it which I can totally see.

1 coat - start our a burgundy/plum colour  with a hint of glitter.
it goes on easy, MAC Lacquer's are also 4-free which is good for nails!

2nd coat - alot deeper, more blue with an extra layer of glitter.

3rd coat - more of a purple/blue/green mix, in the light its amazing but hard to capture on a camera.
The glitter is amazing!

What are your favourite items from the VV collection? Did you manage to pick any up?
Also check out the lovely Sammi's blog tomorrow for her pick-ups and reviews :)
