Destroy Your Denim.

Oh Hey!

It's getting pretty freakin' chilly outside now, I absolutely love Autumn weather where the sun is low and shining, the sky is blue but it's cold outside.

Earlier this year I went to a Vintage Kilo sale, these are where you pay £15 for a kilo of clothing and everything is in massive bins and on huge rails. The place is packed full of people and it's basically a fight to to find something half-decent. It's described as 'vintage' but it's mostly stuff from 2003, the queue to pay is so long that you slowly lose alot of interest in things you picked up and promptly dump them along the sides. I did however manage to grab myself a lush little Levis ladies denim jacket from either the late 70's or early 80's which had a gross stain on it. I managed to somewhat get most of the stain out but the fit is great and I've been after one since forever so I was in. It was the only thing I picked up and came to just under a kilo so I got it for £13.

Sure enough after it's first wash I had sewn my Stay Home Club back patch onto it. Granted it needs an iron out but I love it and it looks pretty swell to me! 

Even though it's cold I pretty much still only live in dresses but now I just wear tights and boots instead of trainers and bare legs. I do love a good layer up with chunky knits, scarfs and a bobble hat - I got this cute little peach one from H&M for £4.99 last year.

What I Bought: Outfit Haul.

Oh Heyyy!

Today I want to share with you a few new clothing items I bought with my 2nd paycheck from my new job. I headed into town on payday and decided to treat myself to a few new items for my wardrobe:

Hello £5 for a cute little smock dress! Thankyou Primark.
Also the grey T-shirt high-neck dress was only £8 in Primark too.

I was dead pleased with all my purchases, it felt nice to actually buy new clothes instead of feeling insecure in my current ones.

In other news I went to see The Prodigy on the weekend which was so good! Despite not being able to get wasted due to work at 8am the next morning, I still danced hard with my pals but was home before midnight! :)

I have some exciting news coming up soon, I'm just waiting for some confimations and things to go through before I reveal all (if you follow me on Twitter you may already have guessed!) but watch this space ;)

High n' Dry - outfit post.

Hello, Hello, Hello!!

Well this weather is freaking gross! I've been swept sideways every day, had NO snow and been soaked constantly!

Lucky for me I bagged myself a Rains rainproof coat for Xmas so I'm dryyy (well my top half anyway!). The coat is short enough to look good with a skirt, tights and boots but also long enough to cover me enough if I'm wearing leggings and a baggy top to work with trainers.

I also got a Fjallraven Kanken backpack which I featured in my Christmas post.
This too hold off the rain keeping my essentials totally dry.

"If you want a Rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain!" - Preach it Dolly! 

I got these rip-off Timberlands from Primark for a quarter of the price. They serve me so well and also keep the rain off!

I'm currently having such a positive week which feels amazing, I know we all get down days but if you apply a little positivity to your day and start off feeling good then the rest of the day goes by smoothly :)

70's Style Print - outfit post.

First up I want to say a huge thankyou to everyone who watched, commented, liked and subscribed to my Youtube channel after my first Youtube video - it mean't so much and I'm excited to share my next video with you!

Anyway, in my video I showed you guys a new dress I had picked up from H&M and this is it:

It was pretty windy out so my hair looks messy as haha! Like I said in my video I just love the fit of this dress it's massive and flowy and makes me feel comfortable about my weight.
I also love that I can wear this without tights and just wear some chunky boots with some cable knit socks (that I also got from H&M and just lovee how cozy they are!).

This week I'm going back home which I cannot wait for, I love getting away from Cardiff and working and just being able to relax in home comforts.

Sadly today my bunny (who was featured in one of my first ever posts) Oliver had to be put to sleep as he was 6 years old and ill.

Bare Legs in Winter - outfit post.

It's been a while since my last outfit post, I'm still having huge body confidence issues. I'm trying hard but nothing is working and it's getting me down.

ANYWAY moving on from wallowing! These photos I took in the pouring down rain so my hair is flat and my roots look like a badgers butt! I'm also covered in fake blood from Halloween where I kept it in bad taste as Myra Hindley.

Raiiiin!!!

The weather has certainly turned now, It's freezing today! Although I have no tights on I have some super thick socks on with some fleece lined boots too which keeps me warm when walking.

I just finished day 1 of the 30 Day Shred - wow what a workout! I'm excited to keep it up but for now I'm curled up on the sofa watching Louis Theroux and reading blogs - I'm actually looking for some more home interior sort of blogs so if you have any to share shoot them my way!

Tomorrow I have a Paul Mitchell event - I loved the last one and can't wait for this one!

Chambray Shirt Dress - outfit post.

It's FRIIDAYY!

Yay! I have an outfit post for you today that I shot when I was in my Mum's garden. 

Chambray Samantha Shirt Dress* - Joules

I love the small details on the dress like the lime piping and the button up sleeves.
I wore my Vivienne Westwood Orb necklace with it as I wanted something small poking out where the shirt comes undone at the top.

At first I wasn't too sure of the dress, I love the simple style but I felt the way it sat made me look rather large and showed the outline of my tum a bit too much. I just feel big in it but thats down to my own insecurities I guess. 

Like I said I adore the style and I really really want to feel more confident to wear it as I've been after this style dress for such a long time - so for these photos I felt better sitting down ;) 

I NEVER wear any kind of sandals but I LOVE these! I have finally found the sandal style that I like and want more of!
I love the tiny gold heel most of all.

What do you think of it? I've always had Joules as one of the brands where I will by-pass most of their stuff but then find one or two items that I MUST HAVE! and are my style all over.

Acid Wash Neon Rose - outfit post.

Hello and Happy Monday!

Today I thought I'd share with you an outfit from my trip back down to Devon which I wore whilst out on a walk along the River Dart:

I love this dress it's the perfect fit for me and I feel totally comfortable in it. The sleeves are sheer with a little button where the sleeve rolls up slightly. Not to mention the acid wash is an awesome fully bleached out colour.

I've had these Vans Authentics since I was 17 - that's now 7 years! They are totally worn out but I can't bear to part with them!

Of course it was a scorcher of a day so I got right into the river. I wish I had bought some kind of swimwear so I could fully go in! The water was so clear and warm I loved it.

Daisy Crop

Hello!

So as of Monday my internet went down until yesterday which was super annoying as our Sky tv doesn't work either due to us living in a basement :'( So I've been struggling haha. But now I'm back - yaaay!

Today I have a little drop to show you, although I am STILL in the midst of a super bad body conscious issue where I just want to wear baggy t-shirts and hide all my chub I decided to give this a little go:

I love the detail and the scalloped edges along the arms, bottom and neckline.

It's a pretty see-through top but with the bra underneath it looks good! I don't think I'm confident enough yet to wear it outside in public but I teamed it with some hi-waisted jeans to cover up a little.

I'm loving all this sunshine we are having in Cardiff this week and can't wait to go back out into it!

Pink and Denim - outfit post.

Good Afternoon!

So oops I dyed my hair pink again! The sunshine just makes me want different coloured hair! 

This past weekend we went down to Porth Cawl and the sun was out in full force. I love going to seaside towns and playing in the arcades and laughing at the junk that you can win. Of course I had to get fish n' chips and sit on the beach whilst we ate. We also got slushies and ice creams too! 

It was super sunny and I've been out in the sun alot the past 2 weeks so I've got a slammin' tan on the go - prayin' for more sun so I can top it up ;p I feel soo relaxed in the sunshine. 

Anyway here is what I wore:

All week I've been looking for holidays so we can get away for a week I'm thinking Portugal (Algarve way) but any suggestions for a sunshine holiday on a budget where I can get a good deal I would LOVE to hear them!

Kimono Skater Dress - Wedding Outfit post.

As I mentioned a couple weeks back I went back to Devon last weekend for a wedding. 

It was a great day, the weather wasn't so great but it was all inside a marque so everybody was dry. It was a boozy affair (our party favours were home-made spirits) but luckily I got to spend a few days in Devon recovering!

Here is the dress I wore, I dyed my hair Pearl Blonde again and only wore a couple of little silver rings as the dress was embellished:

Although I look pretty chunky here (much to my dismay!) but I'm thinking it may be the skater style skirt with the kimono embellished top half doesn't photograph well! 

Anyway I do love the dress and it's really pretty.

This weekend I was still poorly, I rested, partied (a tiny bit) and also went to watch Merthyr Town loose the playoffs sadly not make it into the next league.

Beachin' - outfit post.

On Friday, as part of the long Easter weekend, we decided to head to Rhossili Beach (voted UKs BEST beach and 9th best beach in the world!).

It was a sunny day and super warm but the wind was blowing as you are about to see by the state of my hair in these pics:

There were parts of the beach that were full (like 5 rows deep) of shells. I've never seen so many!

I love this boxy top from Topshop, the colour is lush and the pattern is like a magic eye picture! :p

This was at the top where you park, you have to walk down the winding hill (and then back up!).

I loved it here it was so beautiful - hell of a walk though, I made sure I had my hiking boots on!

Bug Watching - outfitpost.

These pictures were taken a couple of weeks ago on a walk around a reservoir just near the Brecon Beacons. It was such a sunny day although there was a chill in the air.

I actually had a little bird drama myself last night, if you follow me on Twitter then you will have followed it but for those who don't: Prince bought a baby pigeon into the house injured but not dead, I feared the worst for it however after some care and attention I managed to get it to a vet who said he has no serious injuries and will be able to go to a bird shelter this weekend for extra bird care and will be released in the next week. I was so happy and relieved that he was able to get some pain relief and some real treatment rather than suffer.
