Adventures in 35mm

Hello!

I've had a lack of posting this week due to being away in Devon for the first part and then super ill for the last part, I'm still suffering but finally have a little bit of motivation to write something small :)

When I was a teenager I was really into film-photography usually lomo cameras but I did have a Nikon SLR (which I actually recently found again and can't wait to use!).

Recently I purchased an old Pentax 35mm SLR for super cheap to get back into the swing of things. I love and most definitely prefer the outcome of film photography, I prefer things looking a bit old and tatty but obviously lighting can be an issue so I have to find my footing. Here are my faves from the first roll I shot with my new(old) Pentax:

old school 'selfie' :p
This camera lens is definitely better for focusing on one object close-up.
Little Lord Prince.
Beach adventure.
Totally stripped sheep skeleton.
This is a little stray with half a tail who sits outside my window all the time and comes for a stroke.

I've already shot another roll and am halfway through a new one but I've been waiting for payday to be able to develop the films which I will do next week.

I can't wait to share some more film pics on here!

Hope you have a great weekend!

Pins n' Patches

Hello!

One thing I loveee to add to totes, jackets, coats and hoodies is pin badges and patches! This started when I was a kid when I used to get a pin badge or patch of my fave band or local bands at shows and loved showing them off.

I have them on all sorts but I thought I'd show you my favorites that I wear on my fave jacket:

I haven't sewn this on yet as you can see but it's on the 'to-do' list!
Stay Home Patch.
I've recently found Explorers Press via Instagram who have an amazing range of patches that are just my kinda thing, here are my personal favorites:

How awesome are these?! I especially love the 'Psychic' pin badge! Do you wear any patches or pins or know of any other awesome sites?

This weekend I'm off to Devon for a Wedding and a long weekender relaxing in the countryside.

Have a good one!

Beachin' - outfit post.

On Friday, as part of the long Easter weekend, we decided to head to Rhossili Beach (voted UKs BEST beach and 9th best beach in the world!).

It was a sunny day and super warm but the wind was blowing as you are about to see by the state of my hair in these pics:

There were parts of the beach that were full (like 5 rows deep) of shells. I've never seen so many!

I love this boxy top from Topshop, the colour is lush and the pattern is like a magic eye picture! :p

This was at the top where you park, you have to walk down the winding hill (and then back up!).

I loved it here it was so beautiful - hell of a walk though, I made sure I had my hiking boots on!

What did you get upto this weekend?

Easter Chick Nests Recipe.

Easter is this weekend (long weekend woohoo!) and it's all about the sweet treats!

I used this Baking Mad recipe and altered it a little, swapping and adding my own ingredients, to make these super cute and yummy Easter Chick Nests:

I am awful at baking cakes - I always mess it up! I'm rubbish at timing, the amount of ingredients I use and when they rise and make a mess... I just can't! But these are NO Bake which is perfect for me and so so easy:

First of all I melted the chocolate in the microwave ('cus I'm lazy) then mashed up some shredded wheat and mixed it all together.

I then put the nests into some cupcake cases and made a 'hole' if you will to put in my chocolate icing sugar.
Next it was just a case of putting the chocolate chips and the little chick jellies onto the icing and waiting for them to set!

I loved making these they took no effort and no time at all and tasted delicious. You cannot mess these up!

Do you have an Easter treat recipes?

Instagram Magnets.

I love having physical copies of the photos I've taken. I recently picked up a Pentax SLR and am waiting on getting some film developed (while shooting more) before I share them with you.

I think Instagram is a great way of sharing photos (you can follow mine HERE) but you only have them as a record on your phone. I was sent some Sticky9 magnets of my fave Instagram pics to put in my kitchen:

They are pretty great, the quality is so high for a small square! Plus its free delivery. These are a great gift and keepsake, I recently changed phones and no images backed up so I lost all of Prince's Kitten pics so having one from the day I got him is so lush.

Hope you've had a great weekend!
