What I Bought: BHS 20% off everything!

Oops! I've been on that homeware binge again! It was an accident I swear!

I was heading to ASDA to do a little weekend shop and ended up passing BHS on the way. I used to think BHS was super dated but there is an awesome new store in Cardiff Bay that looks lovely so I thought I'd step in. When I walked in a store assistant welcomed me and told me 'everything is 20% off and some things upto 50% from today until Monday!'. HELLO! As I walked around the store I figured if I really anything then I should totally get it while I see it, right?!

As you can see I bought this super cute kitchen clock! I have a duck-egg blue theme and this is just prefect!

It even has a little time on the bottom which is so an awesome little feature.

Mint Green Brita Marella Jug.
I've wanted a Brita filter jug for ages and I almost bought this exact one the other day but it was £21 and I really couldn't justify it. Today I picked up this beaut for just £13.99!

I've wanted a Brita for ages as I've read alot up on how gross our water actually is and how much chlorine and metals are in the water we drink daily.

The jug came with a filter so it was already to go ahead and use :)

Santorini Mirrors set of 3 - £18 then went down to £14.40.
These were actually in the bathroom section however they could go anywhere really. I love the rope hangers.

New Homeware Buys.

Hello!

I've been going a little homeware mad at the moment, I've found some bargains and can't help but pick them up as I go along. Like I said in my last post I've got some exciting news and I will fully share when It's 100% done but most of you can probably guess by now :p

I'm on day 2 of 3 off from work as I'm working the weekend so I get a short week. I love to just relax, I've been re-watching The Killing which is on Netflix, if you haven't seen it I highly recommend it, it's a great crime drama.

John Lewis Home Inspiration: Fusion

Hello!

I've been a little MIA last week, I hadn't been feeling totally myself and thought I'd rather rest up and take time to myself to feel relaxed rather than focus on anything else! Last night (if you follow my Instagram you will have seen...) I fulfilled a childhood dream and got to see Slipknot and Korn play live. It was so loud, so heavy and SO good! I had a blast but I'm feeling pretty wiped out today so taking it easy so my Monday isn't one big yawn! Anyway, moving on...

I love John Lewis homewares, although pretty pricey they always have some unusual pieces and great, simple designs and I particularly love their 'Fusion' range.

I was given a £50 JL giftcard for Xmas from my Auntie (thankyou!!) which I have yet to spend, I'm on the look out for either the perfect piece to invest the £50 towards of a couple little bits that add upto £50ish.

So here are my top faves from the Fusion range:

Pols Potten Porcelain Plate - £7
These plates come in 4 different colours, I love this blue the most though! I love a good mish-mash of plates.

Oriental Bowls - £25
These set of 4 are so cute, I think they are pretty small but perfect for some soup or a little cereal snack.

Round Hanging Brass Mirror - £45
This would be lush in a living room or office. It looks huge in the inspiration photo too!

Fusion Embroidered Cushion - £40
I hope for the price this cushion is HUUUGE but it's so so pretty! 

Miko Pouffe - £160
I'd love a pouffe, although I think this is a small sized one maybe Prince could make it his own little sofa :p!

Pandora Glass Light Shade - £170
This would be such a beautiful living room piece. It's out of my price range for light shades however it is such a gorgeous design.

Hanging Terrarium Tealight Holder - £16
This is such a cute idea, love myself a Terrarium and this is for tealights - perfect!

Flamingo Gifts

Hellooo!

I am so so excited to share this post with you all, as you may have noticed my obsession with homewares has been present on this blog since the very sweet beginning and only grown bigger! 

As soon as I spied Flamingo Gifts on my two fave blogs (Temporary Secretary and Sara Waiste) I fell in love, they sell little bits from different designers at super affordable prices. What drew me in was it reminded me of all the little stores I love back home in Devon that sell lots of different interesting pieces from all over, for example the Folklore Teapot, my Mum actually bought for me as a gift last year from a similar store and I really love the print on this - it's so me and hold so much tea!

So basically Flamingo Gifts got in touch and asked little ol' me to pick some of my faves from the website and they would send over a selection. I was so excited, I spent so long on the site and my list was definitely too long but there is so much cute stuff! Here is what I was sent (and so thankful for!): 

Wu & Wu Kitten Cosmetic Bag*
I adore Wu & Wu's Kawaii style and this kitten is no exception.

Pyro Pet*
Ahhh I've been after a Pyro Pet candle for so so long! It's much bigger than I thought it would be which is a pleasant suprise. I haven't lit it yet as I love the shape of the cat but I also really wanna see the skeleton underneath!!

Folk Blue Owl Mug*
This mug is HUGE which is good because I only like massive cups of tea. The detail is gorgeous and the duck-egg colour is just my ultimate fave right now.

A couple other things I want to mention on their site that I adore/want/need:

There is a HUGE range of Flamingo Candles.
I'd never seen this Aromatherapy one before to help you relax - Lord knows I need this.
Plus I'm already a huge Flamingo Candle fan :)

A floor cushion shaped like a doughnut! Necessary? No. But I lovee.

This beautiful Trim phone would make such a great side-table piece. This day and age most people my age don't have house phones but you can definitely use it for decoration!

Best salt and pepper shaker I've seen. Hands. Down!

How A Shaggy Rug Can Make A Room

Hello there!

Today I want to share with you my favourite thing EVER - my new rug! I mentioned this and showed it off in my 2014 roundup video but I wanted to share it on here aswell and use some better images to show its true beauty!

(wow I never thought I'd be 25 and be ecstatic over homeware instead of clothes and make-up...)

My shaggy rug is from 'The Rug Retailer', they have literally the biggest collection of rugs I've ever witnessed so I took about 3 days deciding on the perfect rug. Recently my mum bought me a sheepskin rug, which is being kept for my *fingers crossed* eventual new house, but in the mean time I settled on the 'Whisper' rug in Tungsten. 

Aswell as having an astronomical range of different rugs, these rugs also come in loads of sizes too! I went for a wild guess and got a 4ftx6ft which actually fits perfectly on my living room floor and I think any smaller would have looked silly in this room. 

When the rug arrived I was so excited, I rolled it right out and it was so, so soft I couldn't help starfish it with joy! It's really plush and furry but didn't leave any fluff on my clothes which is such a plus because now it's become my little spot. I sit there with a cup of tea, cosy lights on and work on my wall hanging on my softy rug - it's my little slice of heaven! 

Even Prince has been getting in on the rug action, and like the faithful companion of mine that he is, settles down beside me in the softness :)

I really feel that a big rug makes a room so cosy and now I have my very own!

Homeware Loves: Henry's Future.

Hi there!

Hope you had a great weekend? I've been spa'ing all day but that's another post ;P

It's Sunday night and bordem got the best of me and I find myself browsing homewares for a home I don't have yet - again! Tonight had me on 'NotOnTheHighstreet' which is a site which basically sells EVERYTHING but it's all a little special. 

Tonight while browsing I found an amazing little shop called 'Henry's Future'. This is a family run company of artists and designers named after their son Henry - cute! 

After checking out the site I had to write about them as the designs are just what I'm into:

Brass Pot, Vase and Candle Holder - £9 each or £25 for 3

Cami Cameo Bowl - £40
I love the look of cameo glass, that porcelain look is gorgeous. I really want to join a pottery group at some point in 2015 to try my own hand at this amazing craft.

Ceramic Gold Tea Light Holder - £9
Although this is quite a festive looking piece but I love that tacky looking brassy gold.

Ori Folded Vase - different prices depending on size and colour.
In love with this design and the grey and min especially are gorgeous.

Im totally in love with these geometric babes! 

Hammered Copper Pendant Light - £150
The priciest of the bunch but such a wonderful statement piece!

I've never really use 'notonthehighstreet' before but it so good to browse and find amazing sellers and creators/artists like Henry's Future. I know I won't be able to get off the site now!

Cat Homeware

Hello!

I love all animals but it's pretty obvious that I am cat crazy, I've owned cats since I was 5 years old and now have my own baby boy Prince along side his big sister who lives in Devon with my mum - Pippa! 

Since I've moved from home to home I've always been drawn to cat-themed homewares and today I want to share with you my ultimate wish-list of kitty decoration that I would love in my place:

Pyro-Pet Cat Candle - Firebox.
This is a little morbid (but so am I) but I lovee that when you burn down this candle you are left with a kitty skeleton afterwards! It's such a great and gruesome idea. 

Kit-Cat Clock - ILoveApplePie
I've always wanted one of these since I was a kid, they are so classic and cute, I just love the tail/eye movement as it ticks.

Cat Head Mug - Urban Outfitters
This is so sweet! Like I need more mugs in my cupboard but how can I resist this one?!

Cat Soap Dispenser - ModCloth.
This is gorgeous, so poised! It's also ceramic for an easy clean.

Kitty Cushion - DollyDripp.
I am a HUGE DollyDripp fan, everything is handmade with lots of love and attention paid to each item, so well worth the price tag. 

Mint Cat Shelf - Urban Outfitters.
This has been in my UO basket for SO long now! I need to press buy immediately and it is just perfect for my bedroom.

Asda George Take on Homeware!

Hey!
This weekend I went back home to Devon to surprise my mum for Mothers Day, it was great a weekend is too short! We did a spot of shopping and some food shopping and whilst we were in Asda I got to have a look at all their new homeware ranges.

My mum treated me to a few bits and this is what I picked up:

These candles were only £1.50 each and fit in with my living room SO well.

Butterfly Cushion - £5. 

George now do their own full home range, you can look online or there is also a catalog in-tore. They've gone into selling sofas, furniture, curtains etc... and it looks really great!
